Safety advice on offer to businesses
Fife
Chamber of Commerce is to hold an event for local businesses to
help them prepare for unexpected eventualities.
The
members networking meeting, entitled When Disaster Strikes – Are
You Prepared, will be held at the Lundin Links Hotel next
Wednesday, between noon and 2pm.
Dougie
Potter, Fife’s emergency planning officer, will outline some common
problems a business can face such as damage to premises, collapse
of communications networks or the sudden loss of employees, and
will suggest ways the company and livelihoods can be protected.
Fife Chamber chief executive Alan
Russell said, “I am sure that our members will get a lot from this
event and I’d hope that as many as possible come along to find out
how a few simple precautions and some pre-planning can help avert
business disaster.”
