Cash to Help Kids

ALAN Russell, chief executive of Fife Chamber, recently presented a cheque for £1282.50 for the Kingdom Kids charity trust to Micky Gavin, Kingdom FM's breakfast DJ.

Kingdom Kids is the station's charity, which exists to raise and distribute funds to groups supporting under privilaged and disadvantaged youngsters throughout Fife.

In addition, funding is available to groups who are actively supporting the positive development of kids in the local area.

The money was raised during the annual Fife Chamber Dinner, held at The Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, St Andrews.

A total of £2565 was raised on the night, split equally between Kingdom Kids and national charity Alzheimer Scotland.

Mr Russell said "Kingdom Kids seemed the perfect choice. As an organisation that supports a host of different groups involved in working with disadvantaged young people across Fife it has a broad reach and has such a positive impact on the lives of many youngsters who need support.

"Helping young people to have a better life is a very worthwhile cause.
