The Sporting Chance Initiative was recently launched to help small and medium enterprises across Scotland exploit the wide range of opportunities in the growing sports sector.

Public interest in sport is growing with the upcoming Olympic and Commonwealth Games helping to publicise the sector. Whilst the sports sector may be commonly associated with large brands, it is in fact a highly diverse market in which 50% of the worldwide market is served by smaller companies, with many companies carving out profitable niches in this £70 billion market. The wide ranging nature of the sports market is also often overlooked but businesses operating in sectors as varied as the tourism, technology, food and drink and manufacturing sectors can all benefit.

The Sporting Chance Initiative will explain to members how they are working with SMEs to help them collaborate with the relevant partners to develop new products or services or adapt their existing offerings for the sports market.

Registration is and breakfast is from 8am with the presentation commencing at 8.30am prompt.
