Fife Business Awards 2017
The 2017 Fife Business Awards are now open for entries, with aspiring businesses having until Friday 28th October to submit their entries.
Celebrating the fantastic spectrum of business successes across Fife, the awards have grown significantly in recent years, with over 300 business leaders and guests attending the hugely popular award ceremony and dinner in March.

Applicants should have been trading for 3 years or less and will be asked to provide details of how the company has performed and what its future projections are. You will also be asked to explain the background to the business, the markets it operates in, the business vision and the research that was undertaken when the business was in development.

Entrants should be able to demonstrate a clearly defined strategy for developing and growing the business in terms of turnover, employment, innovative marketing and communications. They will be able to demonstrate a strong sales focus. Evidence of staff personal development and total involvement of the workforce in the growth of the business is important. The winner will demonstrate entrepreneurial characteristics with dynamic and measurable systems in place to monitor performance, financial controls, marketing and sales growth.

This award is open to organisations which have developed a partnership that prepares young people for the world of work. Businesses should highlight how they have recognised and embraced the talent within our local schools, college and other education establishments. Judges in this category will be looking for evidence of how the business has established the partnership and what makes that partnership exceptional.

This category will be awarded to the company that has shown the most commitment to developing its staff through skills and personal development, investment and achievement programmes and outcomes.

This award is for business that can demonstrate clear links between improvements to their company performance (increased productivity, profitability etc) through sustainable and environmental processes and practices, or for companies that have developed new business opportunities arising from emerging environmental technologies and practices.

This award is for tourism operators, large and small that can clearly demonstrate success through high visitor numbers, repeat business and clear customer satisfaction. Companies should also demonstrate their wider commitment to the region and to tourism in Scotland as a whole.

This award will recognise the outstanding contribution of an individual or business with a focus on promoting local Food and Drink. The Local and Drink Award will be awarded to those who have shown a particular commitment to the production, sales or promotion of local food and drink, resulting in the long term benefit and development of their business and the local area.

The Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday 31st March 2017 at The Rothes Halls, Glenrothes and guests will be welcomed with a drinks reception followed by dinner and the Awards presentation hosted by Radio and TV presenter Grant Stott.
