Kirkcaldy Comedy Festival 2009
Many people still talk very positively about last year's Comedy Festival when we had 25 comedians in 11 performances across 5 venues during 4 fun packed nights. The 2009 Festival is a significant step up on last year and one which will be a great experience and have a positive impact on the local economy. This year is double the size with a very strong line up bringing some of the leading comedians to Kirkcaldy. There will be 23 performances in 8 venues over 9 days/nights.
There will be nationally and internationally famous comedians performing including renowned international comedian Adam Hills who has dubbed the town of Kirkcaldy "Kirkcomedy" in tribute to its annual Comedy Festival's growing reputation. Adam's thoughts on Scotland, Kirkcaldy, the Comedy Festival and linoleum can be viewed on You Tube at www.youtube.com/kdycomedyfestival as well as across a range of other social networking sites including :

We have some new additions this year: family oriented comedy suitable for children, a benefit gig for Maggies Fife and FREE workshops for aspiring comedians who, if they "graduate", will have the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience on the final night of the festival.
With tickets starting at only £2, there is something to suit most people's taste and budget. Tickets are already being booked for the Comedy Festival launched last week so phone the Box Office on 0844 481 5659 and register now on www.kirkcaldycomedyfestival.com to receive updates on special offers.
I hope you will be able to attend at least one show and I shall look forward to receiving all feedback through a survey as part of a formal evaluation of the Festival.
