Stagecoach and Fife Council improve hospital transport links in Fife

A new bus service, connecting Ninewells Hospital and Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy hourly throughout the day, has launched.

Calling at towns and villages along the route, including Ladybank and Cupar, the X42 will provide an important link for patients, visitors and hospital staff. The service also stops in central Dundee, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy, increasing the frequency of bus services for commuters.

The new service has been launched as part of a Bus Route Development Grant scheme in conjunction with Fife Council.

Stagecoach have also announced details of new off-peak day return tickets which can be used on the route. From as little as £5 passengers can benefit from money saving day tickets between Cupar/Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy and Ninewells/Dundee.

The full X42 timetable and ticket information is available at www.stagecoachbus.com
