Fife Chamber appoints new Membership Executive

Fife Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to welcome Paul Sykes into the role of Membership Executive to help support a significant membership drive planned for the months ahead.

Paul brings with him extensive experience in marketing and business development, having held positions within leading marketing agencies in both Scotland and London.

Paul lives in Cupar and recently chaired Cupar Round Table for a year, and was a key player in organising their many charitable fundraising events. This included the Blues Brothers Ball – which was hugely successful, was attended by 200 people and raised £6,000. The total sum raised during Paul’s Chairmanship was in excess of £14,000, benefitting several charities.

Paul is also a keen sports fan, especially rugby, and is an active member of the Howe of Fife RFC Rugby Union Club, enjoys football and cricket and loves theatre and films, literature and writing.

Paul said: “I am excited to be working with Fife Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has a great team who have already made me feel really welcome.

“Fife has a strong business culture and some great businesses, both big and small. I am already busy introducing myself to our dynamic and diverse membership – getting to know our members and their priorities to ensure that we can work with them to maximise on the opportunities that being a member of the Chamber network can offer them.

“I am also enthusiastic about the challenge I have been set to grow Fife Chamber’s membership and to attract new and vibrant businesses to our roster over the months ahead. I will work hard to help new members to interact with our existing membership and to get the most out of Chamber membership and the raft of opportunities it can bring to businesses of all shapes and sizes.

“We are also planning some important developments to our service offering in the near future, so this is a fantastic time to be working at Fife Chamber.”
