Stagecoach's Coach Link to Glasgow Airport Upgrades to First Class

Stagecoach East Scotland have launched 3 brand new luxury coaches for the new service between Fife and Glasgow Airport.

Route X24 was recently extended to operate hourly between St Andrews, Cupar, Glenrothes, Halbeath Park & Ride, Dunfermline, Kincardine, Glasgow city centre, Braehead Shopping Centre and Glasgow Airport.

Following the success of the service, the company have now invested £1m into 3 new coaches for the route.

The new coaches have a range of modern features including reclining leather seats, power sockets, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi access, large luggage lockers and a toilet on board.

The new Plaxton Elite coaches have been rebranded as 'Express JET Connect' to be easily recognisable on the road and will be in service from early December.

Douglas Robertson, Commercial Director, Stagecoach East Scotland said: "Our new vehicles are the latest in luxury coach travel and we're looking forward to adding the Elite coaches to the fleet. The extension of the X24 route has been popular since it was launched in August and proves to be a great value travel option to reach Glasgow Airport whether it's for business or pleasure."

Journeys from Fife to Glasgow Airport run from 0348 every day, until the last journey returns from the airport at 2235.

The Express JET Connect route provides a great value travel option to reach Glasgow Airport and period return tickets are valid for up to 28 days so there's no need to worry about airport parking, customers can just jump on the coach to start their trip.

Mr Robertson added: "A period return ticket costs £19, valid for 28 days and kids can travel for just £1 for a period return when bought alongside the adult ticket."

Express JET Connect service forms part of the multi-award winning Express City Connect network operated by Stagecoach East Scotland which provides luxury coach travel across Fife and into Edinburgh, Livingston, Glasgow, Perth, Dundee and Aberdeen.

Stagecoach also operate a successful bus link to Edinburgh Airport which has recently increased the frequency of the route to run 24/7. The JET747 service provides a direct service from Fife to Edinburgh Airport up to every 30 minutes, departing from Halbeath Park & Ride, Inverkeithing rail station, Ferrytoll Park & Ride to Edinburgh Airport.

To coincide with the increased frequency of the JET747 service, Halbeath and Ferrytoll Park & Ride car parks are now 24/7.
