Terms & Conditions
The Fife Business Awards are free to enter.
Entry is only open to organisations that are currently operating in Fife.
Award category sponsors are not permitted to enter the category that they are sponsoring but they may enter other categories.
Applicants must be authorised to enter their organisation into the awards programme.
Entries are treated in confidence but will be shared with the judges.
The maximum word count for each question is specified. The word count limit does not include the questions. If your entry exceeds the word count on any question it will be disqualified.
Incomplete entries will not be judged.
Entries should be in English and produced using a word processor. All entries must be checked for spelling and grammar.
Completed entries will only be accepted if submitted either online or by completing and returning the application form by email.
The closing date for entries is Friday 2nd November 2018. Entries received after this date will not be accepted.
All entries will be acknowledged on receipt. Entry forms will become the property of Fife Chamber of Commerce and entries will not be returned.
Judging is done in two parts. All applications will be independently scored by the judges and from these scores a short list of applicants will be selected to meet the judges to discuss their application in further detail.
If your organisation is invited to meet the judges you will be asked to provide your logo in a high-resolution format for additional promotional purposes. A brief description of your organisation may also be included in the programme – text from this will be uplifted from your application form and any sensitive information will be removed.
Following your meeting with the judges, you will be asked to record a piece to camera, outlining for example: why you entered or what it would mean to win etc. You will be briefed in advance to allow time to prepare.
The meeting with the judges will take place w/c 26th November 2018 and w/c 3rd December 2018.
By entering the Fife Business Awards you agree that you will be available during these weeks to meet the judges and your application will not be considered further if you do not do so.
The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 29th March 2019.
Winning entries will be publicised. Applicants are responsible for making appropriate arrangements to protect any intellectual property associated with their application. Winners may be requested to participate in post event publicity.
The organisers reserve the right to withdraw an award from any applicant supplying false information within their entry. Judges reserve the right to audit any information supplied.
By registering and completing an entry for the awards you agree to these terms and conditions.
