Global Marine and Energy Firm, Wärtsilä, Chooses Cooper Software for ERP Integration Project

Leading technology consultancy, Cooper Software, is delighted to announce that they have been selected by Finnish company, Wärtsilä, a global leader in advanced technologies and complete lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets, to manage the integration of their ERP system, following their takeover of global engineering firm, Hamworthy.

The project will involve connecting Wärtsilä’s existing ERP solution, IFS, with enterprise resource planning solution, SAP. Cooper Software’s bespoke SDK™ solution will be utilised to effectively manage the transfer of data between both systems and ensure smooth integration and connectivity. Due to the global nature of Wärtsilä’s business, the project involves a significant level of international liaison to bring local offices in line with Wärtilä’s central IT-platform.

The project will allow Cooper Software to build on their established experience within the marine industry and comes at a time when the company is also working with leading Belfast based ship building and marine technology engineering company, Harland and Wolff.
