Latest news from Maggie's Fife

5th January 2016

Maggie’s Fife is running Working with Cancer workshops on 1st March, 3rd May, 4th July or 5th September 10am -1pm, this is free training available to all Fife businesses.

Over 63,000 workers in the UK are living with cancer and struggling to return to work due to the lack of support on offer. As an HR professional or manager, you’ll need to know how to best support employees affected by cancer, and our working with cancer workshop will help to equip you for these situations.

You can have either a couple of members of the senior team or someone from HR to come to each workshop. We can also organise a workshop solely for your company if you think this would be useful.

Maggie's Kitchen Table Day 2016

The kitchen table is at the heart of every Maggie's Centre. It’s somewhere for people with cancer and their families and friends to meet others who understand what they are going through, find support or simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.

On Friday 26 February 2016, we're asking you to help us widen this welcoming feeling by inviting your family, friends and colleagues around your kitchen table in aid of Maggie's.

Whether it’s a spectacular supper, a gigantic jigsaw, crafting cocktails or holding a book club, it’s time to get together to celebrate, and to have fun and all so that more people in Scotland can get access to the practical, emotional and social support that Maggie's provides for people with cancer.
