Two partners for Pagan Osborne’s Fife team

16th June 2016

Leading legal company Pagan Osborne has announced an expansion of its Fife team with the appointment of two new partners.

Lesley Mearns will be joining the agricultural team bringing with her considerable expertise in a wide range of rural transactions, including farm and forestry purchase and sales, renewables, diversification, leases and succession planning.

She and Katherine McGill, who is joining the company’s conveyancing team, formed their own legal practice Eden Legal with a colleague two years ago.

“They both hold a great deal of expertise in their respective fields” said Pagan Osborne’s chief executive, Alistair Morris. “In a very short period of time Lesley and Katherine have built a significant portfolio of clients who rely on their expertise and drive to achieve the right results. We are delighted to welcome them to the team.”

Katherine specialises in property, including residential conveyancing and commercial real estate, and is on the board of Housing Option Scotland, a charity helping disabled people to find the right home.

Both new partners will be based in Cupar where they will be well placed to service their clients throughout Fife and Perthshire.

“Joining Pagan Osborne presented the opportunity to work with one of Fife’s most well-respected rural teams. I am looking forward to further developing this area of the business for our clients throughout Fife and Edinburgh,” said Lesley.

Katherine added “Pagan Osborne has a reputation for delivering excellent customer service, which has always been my top priority when undertaking a transaction. It’s very exciting to be joining a likeminded team who cares so passionately about the client’s experience.”

Katherine is joining the team on 13 June, and Lesley will be following her on 4 July. Their appointments are further bolstered by the addition of Fraser Falconer who has joined the Edinburgh property team as a valuer and the promotion of Stephanie Pratt to senior solicitor in Cupar.
