St Andrews Hidden Markets applications NOW OPEN!

No. 18 and BID St Andrews are delighted to announce that the applications are NOW OPEN for the very first Hidden Markets in St Andrews. We have had a fantastic response to our call for expressions of interest from small businesses, makers, artists and producers and are very excited for you to be a part of something very special.

The Hidden Markets will officially launch on Thursday 23rd November (soft opening, Wednesday 22nd) and run until Sunday 17th December this year, as part of the winter festival. Throughout the event, beautifully decorated chalets will be in four ‘hidden’ locations across the town – offering a unique shopping experience, workshops, street food, walking tours, live performances and much, much more. The markets will encapsulate all of the events happening in the town – including the winter light switch on and St Andrews’ Day celebrations – as well as offering something completely different. We aim to stand aside from the traditional Christmas markets by giving visitors the opportunity to get involved and learn from the makers - with workshops from cocktail-making to candle making and everything in between!

St Andrews will host 40 chalets in separate locations across the town. All areas have been specially selected to ensure a combination of high footfall and idyllic surroundings – the very best of St Andrews. We want to showcase you; the very best of Scotland’s makers and creators to ensure a unique festive experience that can rival that of the larger cities.

Options for participating are very flexible for stallholders, from one-day pitches for businesses who are in the start-up stage or wish to test a product, weekly hire and more. In having changing traders throughout the markets, we anticipate increased footfall and a higher percentage of returning visitors than traditional Christmas markets.
