People doing business in NE Fife welcome to free Business Club event
Friday, 1 September 2017
People doing business in North-East Fife are being invited to join members and guests of St Andrews Business Club on September 20 to hear about the latest changes in social media at a free evening event.
In the first open event of the club’s new season, to be held at the New Golf Club from 5.30pm, social and digital media consultant Pauline Randall of Florizel Media will tell attendees about some of the latest changes they may have missed but which could be important to the marketing of their business.
Anyone wishing to learn about this important business topic, as well as network, is asked to make their free booking via Eventbrite. A full list of this season’s events can be found at http://bit.ly/StABCEvents.
The evening will be the second of 19 events in the Club’s 2017-18 season, all bar three of which will be open to non-members for the first time.
Members are also being asked to approve revisions to the club’s constitution to formally recognise that its core purposes include aiding businesses operating in North-East Fife as well as those in the town.
Speaking about the changes to the constitution, President Alistair Morris says: “Although the club has been open to business people operating outside the town for many years, research we commissioned told us there was a false perception that the club was only for people based in St Andrews.
“While reviewing our marketing over the Summer the club’s Committee decided that making it clear this was not the case was so important that we should rewrite the constitution to make it clear to anyone reading it who might think they weren’t welcome.
“The club has been and will continue to be open to anyone doing business in North-East Fife who wants to learn ways of improving the business they work in and meet likeminded people they may be able to work with or can help them.
“This year only three of our events are reserved for club members and their guests, so you don’t have to join to come along. However, we hope the package of new membership benefits we’ve introduced will convince many more North-East Fife business people to do so.”
Full details of all the club’s events and how to join are available on its website at www.standrewsbusinessclub.co.uk.
