Monday, 6 August 2018

The Freight Transport Association, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Fife Council and the Scottish Government all recognise the significant contribution that the rail freight industry can make to the Scottish economy. Rail freight offers a safer and more sustainable way of transporting vital goods and materials, supporting jobs across the country. These partners are pleased to invite you to a half-day rail freight workshop which will look at the role of rail freight in the logistics chain and how rail could potentially assist your business.

The workshop is being held on 28 August 2018. It takes place at the Adam Smith Theatre, Bennochy Road, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1ET. The event starts at 10.30am and runs until 12.30

Refreshments will be provided on arrival and the workshop will be followed by a networking lunch. The workshop aims to shine a light on the benefits of using rail freight and follows the publication of Delivering Your Goods, a Guide to the Benefits of Using Rail Freight.

Space at the venue is limited and in order to have representation from a full range of stakeholders we would ask you to send no more than two representatives from your organisation. Please confirm if you would like to attend by Friday 10 August by emailing [email protected]
