Lindores Abbey Distillery Awarded Five-Star Accreditation by Visit Scotland

We are thrilled to announce that just over a year after we opened to the public, Lindores Abbey Distillery has been awarded a five-star accreditation by the national tourism organisation, VisitScotland.

VisitScotland’s 5-star Quality Assurance award recognises businesses which achieve exceptional levels of excellence. The QA scheme is a benchmark for quality across the tourism industry and operates across accommodation, visitor attractions and the food sectors.

The award was presented to Drew and Helen McKenzie Smith, the founders of the distillery, earlier this month.

Drew McKenzie Smith commented “The team and I are absolutely delighted to receive the VisitScotland 5 Star Quality Assurance award for the distillery. Our aim is to provide a first-class experience to all whisky pilgrims and visitors to the distillery; to receive the top award is recognition of the hard work that we have all put into the business. We have worked closely with the VisitScotland team and have received invaluable support, assistance and expert guidance throughout our journey.”
