Presidents Update - July 2018

23rd July 2018

When I reflect on my involvement with Fife Chamber over the last 25 years there has always been one person's name that has been a constant, and that person has been Jacqui, who has been a bedrock of the Chamber in all those years. Her energy, enthusiasm and smiling face at early morning breakfast meetings and evening events has always been a delight. The easy way she has made new members or visitors welcome and made sure they are introduced will have put many at ease. I was one of those people, because when I first moved to Fife I hardly knew anyone at my first few Chamber events.

Jacqui has been passionate about Fife businesses and Fife Chamber and many members will consider her to be a friend as well as one of the Chamber team. I don't know how many Presidents Jacqui has worked with but she has supported us all through the good times and the bad. I would personally like to thank Jacqui for everything she has given to the Chamber and wish her the very best as she now embarks on a new stage of her life.

The Chamber’s growing membership and increasingly positive profile across Fife is testimony to the hard work and professionalism of Jacqui and the rest of the staff. This is a fantastic platform to build on and a new team is forming to do that, with Lynda Collins joining as our new Office and Event Administrator. I have still to meet Lynda but I know she is already demonstrating what an asset she will be and I am sure that you will join me in wishing her every success.

The Board will support the team as they maintain their focus on giving members high quality events with inspiring business speakers and senior politicians. A sound strategy, clear goals, passion and hard work have made us successful in recent years and they will continue to be the base from which Fife Chamber delivers for its members.

Thank you all for your support.
