Thomson Cooper Secure their £3,000 broadband voucher for gigabit broadband

21st May 2018

Thomson Cooper Accountants have become one of the first Fife-based businesses to secure their £3,000 voucher to connect them to a Gigabit broadband connection. The government announced in April this year that businesses would be able to access a £3,000 grant to cover the costs of upgrading to gigabit broadband speeds. 2Circles Consulting, also chamber members, are registered providers of this program and had secured the voucher on behalf of Thomson Cooper within 2 weeks of the grant program being available.

Mark Mitchell from Thomson Cooper said “With the move to Making Tax Digital and more businesses going online, now more than ever we need fast reliable broadband to connect to the digital world. 2Circles have been great with their advice on the connection and have made the whole voucher process easy.”

Martin Kershaw from 2circles consulting said “Across our client base we are seeing data usage double every 14 months and more and more businesses are now reliant on a high-speed, reliable broadband connection to operate their business. This Government funding is enabling businesses to cover the required investment to upgrade their broadband speeds and keep up with this increased demand. We are delighted to help Thomson Cooper become one of the first businesses in Fife to benefit.”

In the last round of broadband funding in 2015, where vouchers could be used for 30Mb+ connections, 2Circles Consulting secured £51,000 of funding for Fife based businesses and are looking to do at least the same again this time around.
