Fife Social celebrates 2nd Birthday at Fife College

25th October 2018

It was fantastic to see so many members and non-members at Fife College on Wednesday 24th October to celebrate 2 years of an ever-growing Fife Chamber network. Lots of birthday cake was consumed at Stenton Campus with thanks to Dot Smith from Fife Council - Economy, Planning & Employability Services for helping Alan cut the chocolate cake.

When Chief executive Alan Mitchell joined Fife Chamber just over 2 years ago himself he wanted to adapt a different approach and from that he established Fife Social.

When you say the words 'networking event' to most people they say "Oh I'm not really good at that sort of thing." Another comment is "I don't really have time, I can't afford to take 2 hours out of my day."

That's why Fife Social differs, it's not about the hard sell, it's about getting to know people and companies. It's about building relationships. You are much more likely to do business with a person you have got to know and understand what they do in business than a complete stranger.

We hold them every month at various venues around Fife. This is to ensure you get to visit a variety of different businesses in different locations across the county - some of which that you might not have had an opportunity to visit otherwise. We generally invite guest to attend anytime from 4:30 - 7pm as we appreciate not everyone can take a couple of hours out of the working day. We don't put pressure on anyone to stay - if you can pop in for half an hour on your way home then it's worth it.

In the last two years we are proud to say we seen over 1000 people attend Fife Social. Our next event is being held at Furniture Plus, Kirkcaldy. You can register to attend by clicking on - Fife Social otherwise pop along on the day, it would be great to see you!
