Shell are asking - Can you help turn the UK into a low-carbon success?

27th September 2018

Shifting the UK to a low-carbon economy presents an enormous challenge. Perhaps the biggest challenge of our generation.

Shell are playing their part by setting an ambition to cut the net carbon footprint of our energy products by around half by 2050 and by providing more and cleaner energy solutions, like charging points for electric vehicles and lower-carbon biofuels.

But the challenge is much bigger than any single company or solution - which is where you come in.

Interested in growing your low-carbon business?

The UK needs as many innovative low-carbon businesses ideas as possible to prosper and thrive. So every year we run a competition to reward UK enterprises with low-carbon solutions and help take them to the next level. What’s in it for you?

Shell Springboard winners receive:

  • ‘no-strings attached’ funding of £40,000 for each of the six regional winners plus additional £110,000 for one national winner
  • the opportunity to tell your story in national and local media and generate positive publicity
  • a respected ‘quality assurance’ stamp from experts in the low-carbon sector to help open doors and attract investor interest.

Don’t just take our word for it

Running since 2005, Shell Springboard has a history of picking winners. In fact, more than eight out of ten (84%) of Shell Springboard supported companies are still in business five years after starting up, compared to the national average of around 45%.

Find out how past prize-winners have taken their businesses to new heights.
