Campion Homes shortlisted for Homes for Scotland Award 2019

4th April 2019

Campion Homes, together with Caledonia Housing Association, have been shortlisted in the Homes for Scotland Awards 2019 for the redevelopment of the former Caledonian Road School in Perth.

Nominated in the Affordable Housing Development of the Year category, this development saw the transformation of the Grade B listed Caledonian Road Primary School and associated Advanced Department building. With some of the original features retained, plus the design and build of two new buildings, a total of 51 new, modern and urban affordable homes for rent were constructed.

Combining modern and historic architecture, the restoration of the original building ensures it remains a significant landmark within the town whilst the addition of the new buildings offers modern living requirements.

An independent judging panel shortlisted the entry and will visit the site ahead of the awards, which take place on 17th May 2019.

Joint Managing Director of Campion Homes, Dougie Herd, said “We are very pleased to be shortlisted in the Homes for Scotland awards for the first time. The stunning development at the former Caledonian Road School is evidence of the hard work our wide-ranging team put into its creation and we are proud of their achievement.”

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Campion Homes continue to design and develop stunning properties in outstanding locations. With an incredible portfolio of both affordable and private developments, all built with quality, efficiency and style in mind, they are now one of the leading new home builders in Fife!
