Maven backs management buyout at CMS Window Systems

Cumbernauld-based CMS Window Systems has since opened an 8,500 sq ft composite door plant in Kirkcaldy, increased its production capacity in Cumbernauld and now employs almost 300 people.

Under CEO David Ritchie, it is on track to record revenues of £40 million for the last year, up 25 per cent since 2016.

CMS designs, manufactures and installs energy-efficient and environmentally friendly PVCu and aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling systems. It supplies the commercial construction and social housing sectors, including some of the UK’s largest building projects.

It also now offers windows and doors to sole traders and SME contractors through a network of CMS Approved Trade Partners. It is one of Fife Council, North Lanarkshire Council and East Dunbartonshire Council’s window and door suppliers and has recently provided aluminium glazing packages for Cala Homes’ redevelopment of Edinburgh’s Donaldson Estate and Balfour Beatty’s Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park.
