CHAS launch Geeky T-Shirt Day - May the Fourth 2020

Friday, 24 April 2020

Here at CHAS we are going the extra mile to make sure we can continue looking after children with life shortening conditions and their families. With the spread of COVID-19, providing the many services we ordinarily do has become incredibly difficult overnight. We are working closely with the NHS to ensure our hospices stay open, and we have recently launched the world's first virtual children’s hospice, to help families who are self-isolating or unable to visit. This new way of working means we can keep our staff safe but still provide joy to so many families. We see our CHAS staff as true superheroes and we hope you do too…

Not all heroes wear capes though and this is your chance to shine by just staying in your house and wearing your favourite Geeky T-shirt for CHAS! As you can imagine our fundraising efforts are facing an unprecedented challenge and we hope you can stand with CHAS in our first virtual Geeky T-shirt Day on Monday 4th May!

YOUR MISSION…

From Disney to Doctor Who, Star Trek to Star Wars, Harry Potter to hairy Hobbits, we want you to proudly wear your favourite geeky t-shirt on May the 4th and show the families we work with that the world stands with them. Share your photos with us on Facebook or use the below hashtag on Instagram and Twitter and you will be in with a chance to win a prize for the ‘Best Geeky T-Shirt Pic’ and the ‘Best Geeky T-shirt design’! #MayThe4thBeWithCHAS

To bring a little joy to your day we have several fun geeky activities to get involved in, from family and office team activities to our BIG Geeky Quiz live on Facebook at 8pm joined by some famous faces! For more information and to sign up, please visit our Facebook page and the Geeky T-shirt Day events!

It would be great to have you join us and help us continue bringing joy to terminally ill children and their families. We may not be able to change their diagnosis, but together, we can change their journey.
