Good causes celebrate Fife Business Awards windfall

24th February 2020

Four local charities, CHAS, Fife Employment Access Trust, Maggie’s Fife and Aberlour Children’s Charity are celebrating after they shared £2850 at a reception for Fife Business Award finalists, sponsors and supporters at the DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Queensferry Crossing.

The event, organised by Fife Chamber of Commerce and Principal Sponsors Blackadders and University of Dundee Graduate Apprenticeships, gave all the organisations that are in the running to win an Award an opportunity to meet each other for the first time and share their experiences.

They enjoyed a ‘fun’ casino night with the roulette and blackjack ‘winners’ selecting a charity to receive a share of the money donated by the Chamber and the FBA sponsors.

Fife Chamber of Commerce President Brian Horisk said: “It was great to see all the finalists getting to know each other. Their pride and their excitement at the prospect of winning were palpable. And the fact that we were able to raise money for so many worthy causes just made the night event more special. Two more good causes, Brag Enterprises and seescape, will also receive a funding boost at the main Award Ceremony at the Rothes Halls in March.
