Armed Forces Week celebrates Armed Forces regulars, reservists, cadets and veterans

23rd June 2020

Covids-19 means that Armed Forces Day will take place virtually this year, on Saturday 27th June, but the message remains as pertinent as ever as the country gets the chance to celebrate and thank the members of our Armed Forces, current and past, full-time or part-time, young and old, for protecting us and keeping the country safe.

Whether it is current members of the UK armed forces, working around the world, promoting peace, delivering aid, tackling drug smugglers, providing security and fighting terrorism, or our brave veterans who served and sacrificed so much for us, or the reservists who give up their spare time to serve in the Reserve Forces, balancing their civilian life with a military career to ensure that should their country require them, they would be ready to serve, or the 130,000 young people in The Cadet Forces, we owe them all so much.

There are many ways that you can show your appreciation this week and support the work the Armed Forces do day-in and day-out: click here to find out more.
