Cyrenians launches new website

28th October 2020

Scottish homelessness charity Cyrenians launched their new website, improving the online experience for both those seeking support and for their supporters.

As the country faces economic turmoil as a result of the covid19 pandemic, Cyrenians, like many third sector organisations across Scotland, are developing ways to build their resilience for long term sustainability - recognising that demand on services will increase, whilst traditional sources of income will deplete.

Jade Skinner, Marketing and Communications Manager, said: “We started this long before covid19 hit to support our long term strategic aims. We recognised that as our impact grew, we could not rely on the digital infrastructure we had before and needed to provide those who may need to use our services a far easier way of finding out what support we can offer.

“We’re really pleased with the result, and it was an absolute pleasure to work with tictoc digital on this. We hope that everyone - from those we support, to those who help make it possible - will benefit from the huge improvement.”

Ewan Aitken, Chief Executive, said: “While the pandemic has created challenges for us as an organisation, our strategic direction has not changed. Building our resilience is absolutely crucial in the months and years ahead.

“This new website will create a vastly better experience for supporters - from a custom built shop front offering virtual gifts alongside products from our social enterprises, to a much more user-friendly donation process.”

Claire Chesney, Project Owner at tictoc digital said:“We were delighted to work with Cyrenians on the design and build of their new website. Our collective aim was to really showcase the incredible work they do across Edinburgh, Fife, and the Lothians. Services like theirs are never more needed during these uncertain times, and creating the new website has allowed us to highlight the important work they carry out.”
