Glasgow Sikh Volunteer Awarded By PM

A volunteer from Glasgow who has galvanised the Sikh community to deliver over 80,000 meals and food parcels to families across Scotland in response to the pandemic has today received Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s daily Points of Light award.

Economy Secretary sets out more detail of how its Youth Guarantee will give young people the chance to succeed

The Scottish Government says that its Youth Guarantee will ensure everyone aged between 16 and 24 has the opportunity of employment, volunteering, education or training and is funding it with £60 million.    Half the money will go to local authorities to help local partnerships to deliver employability support for young people, £10 million will create additional opportunities in colleges and £10 million will go to support pathways to apprenticeships.   The rest will provide valuable, additional funding for Developing the Young

Kickstart Scheme launched following extensive input from British Chambers of Commerce

Clear Your Head Campaign: Phase 3 - Make Time to Clear Your Head

On 07 April 2020 the Scottish Government Ministers created the ‘Clear Your Head’ umbrella campaign to support the mental health of people in Scotland during the coronavirus pandemic.

The campaign aims to help people recognise how they may be feeling, provide ideas that can enable them to cope better, and offer further support.

The 3rd phase focuses on reassuring people that it’s safe to go out and encouraging people to keep being active or going outside to help themselves feel better.
