Free skills boost courses on offer to help those impacted by end of furlough scheme

A set of free skills boost courses on offer at Fife College could help those affected by the end of the furlough scheme according to Vice-Principal Dorothee Leslie.

The £66 billion pound job support system set-up by the UK Government at the beginning of the pandemic ended on the 30th of September, leaving many people in Fife unsure about the future of their job.

Shell scholarship delight for four engineering students

Four Fife College engineering students have been given a boost to their career prospects after they were awarded a scholarship by Shell UK.

HNC Mechanical Engineering students Norman Edwards and Reuben Beaton, and HNC Electrical Engineering students Kevin Blyth and Marcin Piechoki, have received scholarship awards of £1,000 each from the energy company.
