Behind the Scenes - MacTaggart Scott

The Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber would like to invite you to a Networking Breakfast and Site Visit on 24th May to MacTaggart Scott, a privately owned Scottish engineering company, specialising in naval mechanical handling equipment and supporting customers worldwide.

MacTaggart Scott was founded by Hugh MacTaggart and Robert Scott in 1898. It remains a privately-owned engineering company employing 380 people in Loanhead, Midlothian and celebrated its 125th anniversary last year. Since its formation, MacTaggart Scott has supplied innovative engineering solutions for the marine market. Today naval defence forms the backbone of the Company’s turnover, with equipment being designed and manufactured in Scotland for both domestic and export markets.

Agenda for the visit will be a networking breakfast and a presentation from MacTaggart Scott team followed by a site tour.

We will be joined by members from Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber as well as West Lothian Chamber.
