Businesses thrive at Southern Manufacturing 2022
Three Fife-based businesses have returned ‘encouraged and upbeat’ from Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2022. Fife Fabrications, Eurospray and Quality Precision Electronics (QPE) generated 78 enquiries from the three-day event, which took place at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre earlier this month.
Southern Manufacturing & Electronics is the UK’s most comprehensive annual industrial exhibition, and offered the businesses the chance to meet, learn, develop, and grow. Each of the businesses reported new opportunities because of attending.
Fife Fabrications, a regular exhibitor at Southern Manufacturing received 34 enquiries at this year’s show, with a potential value of £800,000. Its Managing Director, John Penman said:
“It has been great to connect with our customers and colleagues in the manufacturing sector at Southern Manufacturing 2022. A great event and if the energy and enthusiasm at this show is anything to go by, this year is going to be a good one!”
Fife Council Economic Development’s Trade Development Programme supported the businesses to exhibit.
Pamela Stevenson, Service Manager, Economic Development, Business & Employability at Fife Council, said:
“Fife has a long history of being at the leading edge of manufacturing and engineering, and with the sector evolving all the time, events like Southern Manufacturing offer endless opportunities to do business.
“Those businesses attending reported strong results in terms of enquiries generated over the three-days, which reinforces the importance of our Trade Development Programme in helping businesses attend events and exhibitions.”
