CEO Update - June

15th June 2026

Celebrating Success. Driving Growth. Championing Fife!

It’s been a strong month for Fife’s business community, reinforcing the ambition, resilience and opportunity across the region.

With government now getting down to business, our message is simple:

Growth must come first!

We’re continuing to push for:

  • The right conditions for businesses to compete
  • Investment in skills and infrastructure
  • Meaningful support for innovation and growth

We’re also engaging directly with members on the Future of Fife, ensuring your views help shape priorities and maximise opportunities, including a potential City Region Deal 2.

Together, we’ll continue to champion Fife and support the success of our business community.

A big thank you to all our members for your continued support and engagement - you are at the heart of everything we do.

It was a real highlight to come together at the Fife Business Awards on Friday 5 June at the Old Course Hotel. It was a fantastic evening and a brilliant showcase of what makes Fife business so special. Congratulations to all our finalists, winners and those highly commended - an outstanding achievement and thoroughly deserved.

Business Priorities

When we speak to members, the priorities are clear and consistent:

  • A competitive and stable tax environment
  • A real, sustained focus on growth
  • Investment in skills and people
  • Better infrastructure and connectivity
  • Strong support for innovation and scaling

We’re working closely with the Scottish Chambers of Commerce to make sure these priorities are heard - and acted on.

Supporting Growth Through Collaboration

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in our Future Vision of Fife survey so far - your input is invaluable.

This feedback will shape how we engage with government and ensure we stay focused on what matters most to businesses across the region. It will also help us maximise opportunities linked to a potential City Region Deal 2.

Looking Ahead

There’s a busy and exciting few months ahead, and I’m looking forward to seeing many of you along the way:

  • Coffee Connections, AGM and Charity Cheque Giving at the Adam Smith Theatre - 26th June
  • Summer Social at Pratis Barns - 13th August
  • Golf at the Fairmont with Dundee and Angus Chamber - 21st August
  • Conference and Trade Show at Adam Smith Theatre - 10th September

These events are more than dates in the diary - they’re opportunities to connect, collaborate and grow.

We’ll continue to represent your voice, champion your interests, and push for the conditions businesses in Fife need to succeed.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
