CEO Update - September 2026

Championing Fife and Its Businesses, Driving Growth and Celebrating Success

Despite nearing the end of summer, we have continued to enjoy a strong month of events for the Fife business community, reinforcing the ambition, resilience and opportunities that exist across our region.

With both the Scottish and UK Parliaments now back in session, we continue to advocate for a clear message: growth must come first.

To achieve this, we must ensure:

• The right conditions are in place for businesses to compete and thrive
• Investment in skills and infrastructure remains a priority
• Meaningful support is available for innovation and growth

Together, we will continue to champion Fife and support the success of our business community.

A big thank you to all our members, as well as Dundee & Angus Chamber members, for your continued support and engagement. You are at the heart of everything we do.

It was a real pleasure to host another successful Golf Day at our Premier Partner, Fairmont St Andrews. The Kittocks Course was in superb condition and provided a great challenge for all involved. Held on 21 August, the event welcomed 80 players, and thankfully the weather was kind throughout the day. We were delighted to be supported by Porsche Centre Perth, with several of their impressive vehicles on display.

We also enjoyed a fantastic Summer Social at our member venue, Pratis Barns, where guests were treated to a tour of the business while enjoying delicious canapés and refreshments.

Finally, it was a pleasure to welcome a large number of members and non-members to our Conference & Tradeshow at the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy. With over 150 attendees, a strong programme of speakers and panellists, and excellent networking opportunities throughout the day, our conference proved to be a great success. I am sure many valuable new connections were made, and we look forward to building on this momentum in the future.

Business Priorities

When speaking with members, the priorities remain clear and consistent:

• A competitive and stable tax environment
• A genuine and sustained focus on economic growth
• Investment in skills and people
• Improved infrastructure and connectivity
• Strong support for innovation and business scaling

We are working closely with the Scottish Chambers of Commerce to ensure these priorities are heard and, most importantly, acted upon.
