Fife to head to Offshore Europe Exhibition in September 2021
Fife is heading to SPE Offshore Europe in Aberdeen later this year and is seeking a strong representation of local companies to exhibit.
The bi-annual four-day event, which is one of the largest conferences and exhibitions for the global offshore exploration and production industry, will take place between the 7th and 10th September 2021.
Fife Council Economic Development, under the banner InvestFife, will host a stand at the four-day event, and is seeking local businesses to showcase Fife’s longstanding and expanding reputation in the sector.
Businesses will benefit from engaging directly with technical experts on the exhibition floor, network with international market leaders and new innovative companies, to source, compare and collaborate.
In previous years, Fife participants have included MRS Training & Rescue, Utility ROV, Lamond & Murray, Bridge Systems, Process Plus, GES Oil Field Services Ltd and Ductform HFE, the latter of which has attended Offshore Europe as part of InvestFife’s stand since 2013.
Ductform HFE’s Managing Director, Stacey McKinlay, commented:
“Offshore Europe has been an excellent platform to showcase our offering of HVAC Ductwork, Fabrication and Engineering Solutions.
“Being part of a group stand has allowed us to become much more visible and has helped forge long standing relationships with local businesses, all working together to help showcase Fife’s offerings as a business community. This collaborative force, which is supported by Fife Council Economic Development, helps draw a wider audience to the stand, increasing the opportunity for generating new business.”
Stacey concluded:
“Our position, in what was once a very new market for us, has steadily improved year on year, given the support and team spirit generated through the Fife stand at Offshore Europe.”
Fife Council’s Trade Development Programme, which supports Fife businesses to participate at or visit exhibitions in a wide range of industry sectors, is organising a Fife stand, and can help first time exhibitors with part-funding towards the exhibitions costs. For regular exhibitors, joining InvestFife’s stand can bring marketing and networking opportunities, as well as logistical and practical help with promotional materials.
Councillor Altany Craik, Convener - Economy, Tourism, Strategic Planning & Transportation Committee, said:
“Fife has a robust reputation as an ideal location for the energy and renewables sector, including Energy Park Fife, so it is vital that we showcase this and other successful projects to a global audience, whilst also protecting the region’s economic recovery.
“Fife has hosted a stand at Offshore Europe for over twenty years, and time and time again, it has generated new opportunities for Fife-based businesses, enabling growth and development, whilst helping to grow the local economy. Now, more than ever, we are encouraging local businesses to join us for the four-day event and help us fly the flag for Fife.”
