Long Awaited Third CHAS Butterfly Ball Returns To St Andrews
Tickets are selling fast for the third Butterfly Ball to be held in support of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), with businesses from Scotland and further afield already securing their tables.
Organisers hope that the glittering event, which will take place in the newly refurbished Robert Burns Ballroom at Fairmont, St Andrews on Saturday 9th April 2022, will eclipse their previous fundraising total of £11,500. Guests will enjoy a drinks reception, followed by a delicious three-course dinner with wine, coffee and treats and entertainment will be provided by popular five-piece Cupar band Scoonie Brae.
There will be an exciting silent auction with sought after prizes up for grabs plus other ‘surprises’ throughout the evening.
The event is run by Kaleidoscope for CHAS which was set up in 2017 by Dawn Anderson, her husband Tom and other family members. The event is being sponsored by several businesses, including Fife Chamber of Commerce member Thornton and Lowe, Fife Properties and Dolby Vivisol.
Having had to postpone the ball in 2020 and 2021, it really is third time lucky for this fundraising team, who have been working behind the scenes to ensure this ball is the best yet.
Dawn said: “The Butterfly Ball is such an incredible event, it truly broke our hearts to have to postpone. We cannot wait to be able to welcome guests back in just a few short months and continue to spread awareness of such an amazing cause.
“As a family we are committed to helping CHAS meet its goal of reaching every family in Scotland and are very grateful to all supporters of the Butterfly Ball, who have stayed with us and keenly await the return of this dazzling event.
Childrens’ Hospices Across Scotland currently support over 450 families through their hospices, expanding hospital services and growing CHAS at Home Teams and are committed to making sure that no matter how little time families have together, it is filled with as much happiness and fun as possible.
CHAS is the only charity in Scotland that provides hospice services for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions. The national charity offers palliative care and respite for the whole family via its two hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch, and its CHAS at Home service supports families in their own homes and has teams working in hospitals across Scotland.
Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) is on a mission to reach every family in Scotland that needs them. The hard truth is that right now, CHAS only reaches one in three children who die of a life-shortening condition in Scotland; they are determined to reach them all.
Tickets for the Butterfly Ball cost £75 per person and bookings can be made individually or for tables of eight or ten guests. To book a place email [email protected] or visit the CHAS Butterfly Ball Facebook page.
The Fairmont is also offering discounted rooms to all Butterfly Ball guests.
