Multiprint choose Scotland’s first charity optician to look after their employees’ eyesight
Employees at Multiprint will now receive regular eye tests from The Optician at Fife Society thanks to a new partnership agreed between the Kirkcaldy based design and print company and Independent charity Fife Society for the Blind
Multiprint, who have served customers in Fife and beyond since 1972, is the first company to sign up to a new Employee Scheme launched by The Optician at Fife Society.
Scotland’s first charity Optician will provide full eye examinations and manage the company’s eye test diary, so all their employees receive advance notification of when they are due for an eye appointment.
They will receive longer, more thorough appointments which will include the latest scanning technology and 3D imaging. The eye tests are carried out by opticians who are specialists in low vision. Employees of Multiprint will also get a 10% discount on any frames they purchase.
All the income from The Optician goes directly to Fife Society for the Blind who help sight impaired people across Fife.
Carl Hodson, Chief Executive of Fife Society for the Blind said: “We work closely with Multiprint as a local supplier so it was fitting that they are the first company to sign up to our Employee Scheme. Having regular eye tests won't just tell you if you require glasses or a change of prescription it is also an important health check. Many general health problems can be spotted before you're aware of any symptoms, which can then treated if found early enough.
“Employees also know that they will be supporting a local charity which helps local people with sight problems across Fife. If any company would like to be part of the scheme then please just get in touch directly”
Jay Todd, Managing Director of Multiprint said: ““When I heard about FSBs Employee Scheme at The Optician I didn’t hesitate to join. Multiprint and FSB have worked together for many years and I saw it as a great opportunity to put something back their way. It is important too that our employees can benefit from top quality eye care and that fact that their families can join as part of the scheme is a total win-win. I have taken my kids along and the service we received was second to none."
