Police Scotland - Summer Safety Campaign
As the UK prepares to kick off the summer months filled with festivals, concerts, sporting events and holidays; specialist and local officers will be working together, along with a number of key partners to undertake a range of activities throughout Scotland, aimed at providing the public with useful information to help deter terrorism and keep them safe in the event of a terrorist incident.
Launched for the first time last year in response to the terror attacks in both London and Manchester, ‘Summer Security’ has already delivered advice, best practice and training to thousands of festival workers, staff and security guards across the UK and highlighted advice to holidaymakers both home and abroad, all aimed at Keeping People Safe.
Designed to provide advice to stay safe at this summer’s festivals, sporting events and at crowded places whilst also offering advice for holidaymakers, the campaign also urges the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity.
