Scottish Chambers of Commerce Quarterly Economic Indicator Q4 2022

7th November 2022

We know that Scottish businesses continue to face great challenges in the face of the cost of doing business crisis which continues to run in tandem with a growing cost of living crisis.

As costs continue to rise, with interest rates and inflation set only to increase further, we’re asking Scottish businesses like you to inform and share with us your perspectives in current trading conditions.

Our latest survey highlighted that businesses are facing a whirlwind of pressures including increased input costs, inflationary hikes, mis-judged economic policy choices by the UK Government and increased pessimism over the global economic outlook.

That is why we need your feedback to share directly with government at both Holyrood and Westminster, to inform and influence considered policy decisions that support businesses like you.

We continue to push for support for your business on a variety of issues: business rates, energy costs and labour shortages among others. It is your feedback that guides and strengths our push to government.

Please take just a few minutes of your time to share your views, by taking our survey today and we can keep pressing on the issues that matter to you: https://bit.ly/SCCQEIQ42022
