Scottish Fisheries Museum Launches The Good Catch Lottery

People can now support the Scottish Fisheries Museum in a new way with the launch of The Good Catch Lottery, a weekly lottery that helps fund the museum's work while offering players the chance to win cash prizes.

A new way to gift, the Good Catch is part of Affinity, a pooled lottery for UK charities managed by a specialist charity lottery provider.

For just £1 a week, players are entered into a weekly draw with a top prize of £25,000. More importantly, every ticket helps provide vital income that allows the museum to continue preserving Scotland's fishing heritage and sharing it with future generations.

As an independent museum and charity, we rely on the generosity of our visitors, supporters and local community. Income from The Good Catch Lottery will help fund the work that often happens behind the scenes but makes a real difference every day.

Helping Keep Kids Go Free

We believe every child should have the opportunity to discover Scotland's fishing heritage, whatever their background.

The Good Catch Lottery income will help support our Kids Go Free policy, allowing families to explore the museum together without the cost of admission becoming a barrier. From climbing aboard historic vessels to discovering the stories of Scotland's fishing communities, we want every child to have the chance to learn, ask questions and be inspired.

Supporting Our Volunteers

Our volunteers are the lifeblood of the museum.

They welcome visitors, care for collections, help maintain our historic fishing boats, Reaper and White Wing, and share their knowledge with thousands of people each year. Their time and enthusiasm are invaluable, and The Good Catch Lottery income will help provide the resources and support they need to continue this important work.
