Sephra Europe Ltd receives visit from local MSP, Claire Baker, as part of Scottish Food and Drink September

As part of Scottish Food & Drink September, award winning foodservice business, Sephra Europe Ltd, headquartered in Kirkcaldy, has received a visit from MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife, Claire Baker.

Delivered by Food and Drink Scotland, Scottish Food & Drink September has been running right through the month to highlight the incredible producers, makers, and flavours behind Scotland's culinary scene.

David Archer, Managing Director of Sephra Europe Ltd, and his Operations Director, John Laughlin, met with Claire at Sephra’s Denburn Road base. They were accompanied by Joe Hind, Head of Programmes & Policy at Food and Drink Scotland, and Jessica Vantromp, the organisation’s Business Development Manager.

The party enjoyed a tour of Sephra’s operational Headquarters, including its new warehousing facility.

With the 2026 theme for the Scottish Food and Drink September campaign entitled ‘Every Bite Tells a Story’, Sephra Europe’s story is an obvious choice to represent this theme.

From David Archer’s humble beginnings experimenting with chocolate fountains in his shed, www.sephra.com is now a vibrant business with group turnover of over £20 million. It supplies premium food equipment, ingredients, and confectionery across eighty countries worldwide, with a growing American division, Sephra USA, operating out of Pennsylvania.

Launched in 2007, and expanding rapidly, distribution sister business, www.cfw.co.uk distributes other brands including Nutella, Cadbury, Callebaut, Monin, Nestle and Royal Steensma.

Rooted firmly in Fife, Sephra Europe is a major local employer, with its recent successes and growth – doubling in size over the last two years, despite many continuing challenges in its sector - enabling the business to invest in its premises, expand its product range, work with community partners and support local employment. It’s recently announced that it’s providing sponsorship to Raith Rovers FC for a second year running as Away Shirt Sponsor.

In recognition and celebration of the outstanding achievements, innovation, hard work and dedication of everyone at Sephra Europe, the business was thrilled to receive the prestigious accolade of Business of the Year at the recent Fife Business Awards 2026, along with the Best Marketing & Engagement Award.
