21st August 2019

Shackleton Technologies have become a proud Patron of The Polar Academy, an incredible Scottish charity working with young adults and creating leaders of tomorrow.

The free showcase event is being held at Discovery Point in Dundee on 24th September, which will explain the work they do. Shackleton are working to encourage secondary schools in Fife to offer this amazing opportunity to their young people.

This amazing opportunity allows local secondary schools and businesses to hear more about the Scottish charity, The Polar Academy. Founded by Craig Mathieson, Scotland's greatest living polar explorer, the Polar Academy is described as "the toughest youth challenge in Europe". Craig and his team's mission is to transform the life-chances of 'invisible' youths in schools in Scotland, resulting in them becoming role models for the next generation.

Speaking about the forthcoming event Craig Allan from Shackleton said: "The Polar Academy founder, Craig Mathieson is one of the most inspirational speakers I’ve ever seen and it is an event not to be missed. We would be delighted to invite Fife Chamber members to attend."

Join the team at Discovery Point to hear more about their Arctic adventures. Find out how the young people involved overcame the physical and mental challenges, developing more self-belief during the process, which has transformed their young lives.
