St Andrews Shuttle lower their carbon footprint
Climate change is real and St Andrews ‘favourite’ airport transfer company St Andrews Shuttle made a promise during the pandemic that they would look at lowering their carbon footprint. This month they delivered on that promised and added their first electric vehicle to their fleet.
Managing Director Gordon Jenkins said: “Like so many businesses throughout the pandemic we have had time to reflect on how we developed our company and how we can improve our services for the future. Our main objective going forward is to reduce our carbon footprint.
In early 2021 we established our own grove through Trees For Life and we are proud to donate trees to it every month. It was a great start, but we wanted to do more. After a few months of research, we are delighted to have invested in our first fully electric vehicle. The response from customers has been fantastic!”
Gordon went on to say: “The sales staff, especially Carli Wilson, at Specialist Cars Volkswagen Kirkcaldy were so helpful and gave us great advice prior to purchasing the vehicle to make sure it met our requirements. We are also grateful to Evi Charge Group for making the charge point installation so straight forward and to John Young Group for our new signwriting on the vehicle.
We are looking forward to using the new vehicle for our airport transfers across the UK and for our private half and full day tours around Scotland.
This is just the start; we want to be known for our environmentally friendly values and vehicles as well as our outstanding customer service.”
