Stagecoach Support Park Fife to Celebrate Year of the Young People

Stagecoach East Scotland have announced their support for the upcoming Park Fife 2018, a free Fife wide festival at Lochore Meadows on Saturday 18 August. The event is part of Year of the Young People (YOYP), a Scottish Government initiative designed to showcase Scotland’s young people.

Park Fife festival goers can catch service 19/19A operating from Rosyth to Ballingry via Dunfermline, Halbeath Park and Ride and Lochore Meadows Country Park.

The company will be offering a £1 dayrider ticket for Under 19s with a valid MyFife card, to help them get to and from the event. Passengers should simply present their MyFife card to the driver to receive a £1 dayrider ticket for return bus travel to the Park Fife festival.

Hosted by Capital FM, the event will include performances by local young musicians as well as tribute group Little Mix Magic and will also feature a DJ set from Capital FM’s Garry Spence.

Cllr Fay Sinclair, spokesperson for education and children’s services said: “Park Fife 2018 is a celebration of Fife’s young people, recognising their talents, achievements and contribution to our community.

“It’s great we’re working in partnership with Stagecoach to help young people from all over Fife get to Park Fife 2018.”
