Take part in a nationwide scheme to reduce litter
29th November 2017
Zero Waste Scotland has launched a new initiative encouraging organisations to take action and reduce litter. The initiative is open to any organisation in Scotland that wants to demonstrate their commitment to the environment and their community.
To take part, just download and complete the litter prevention action plan form and send it back to us. Some examples of the actions you could undertake include:
- Display litter preventions posters around your premises
- Follow Zero Waste Scotland on your social media and promote litter prevention messages
- Download and share with your staff our litter prevention guides
- Make sure your bins are put out for collection at the right time
- Provide sufficient litter and recycling bins at your premises
- Make sure any external areas of your business are regularly cleared of litter
We can provide expert advice, support and a range of tools which can help you identify where you can take action. If you want, we can assign you a litter advisor to provide support to help identify the most appropriate actions for your organisation, and help develop your action plan.
