What More's export business continues to grow in post-Brexit economy
With an export business that looks way beyond Europe and doesn't show any signs of faltering in the post-Brexit economy, What More UK announces another addition to its export list.
Vietnam is the latest export market for the UK's leading plastics and bakeware manufacturer.
The Lancashire-based manufacturer is now exporting to 68 countries worldwide, including others across Asia, South America and also Europe.
The firm's export news comes as the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development backtracks on its warning that the UK economy would suffer instant damage following the UK's decision to leave the European Union.
What More's Director Tony Grimshaw OBE said:
"Brexit has had very little - if any - impact on our business. In advance of June's EU referendum we made strategic plans for either outcome. While many businesses experienced an immediate impact following the Brexit vote, it was very much business as usual for What More and I do not anticipate the UK leaving the European Union to affect the company's growth.
"What More's export business looks way beyond Europe, and our export team has been working hard on new markets, with the help of the Department of International Trade, the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA). We've been successful in adding a number of South American countries to our growing export list. And now the addition of Vietnam brings the number of countries to which What More exports to 68."
As the UK's leading manufacturer and distributor of plastic housewares, gardening and storage products, What More UK makes over 700 product lines from storage boxes to plant pots, pet beds, washing up bowls, buckets and bins, sold under the trusted and value-for-money Wham brand. The business also has an extensive range of bakeware, including enamelware and the PushPan range of silicone sealed bakeware.
