The exhibition we are hosting at Rosyth is one of two ‘independent’ events we are organising at Babcock sites in 2023 (the other being their Technology Centre at Bristol) where some 60+ suppliers from across the UK get the opportunity meet directly with end-users in their place of work. In both instances the exhibitions will be held in purpose-built marquees, so they are conveniently located for the target audience to visit during the event day. Last year we also held a similar event for Babcock inside their Devonport Dockyard.

This idea of bringing potential ‘solutions providers’ to working sites has been a hugely effective way of allowing end-users an opportunity to keep up to date with emerging technologies as well as examine tried and tested ideas that might be transferable from other sectors. It has also proved particularly helpful to ‘end-users’ as they are often too busy doing the ‘day job’ to visit events in distant city centre conferences and events or to realise there might be better technologies available to fulfil their projects.

Conversely, the on-site exhibitions are also useful for site operators (such as Babcock) because they offer their staff much greater access to interact with solution providers and in much larger numbers than if the event were held elsewhere; as well as providing exhibiting companies with an opportunity to showcase their capabilities to audiences that are otherwise hard to identify or are in locations that can be particularly difficult to access on their own.

In the case of the Rosyth event, the event will be visited by Babcock and contracting staff based on the Dockyard site and will feature technologies capable of supporting many of their ongoing activities including ship building, refits, and submarine dismantling.

The cost for exhibition space at this event will be based on £230 plus VAT per square metre. However, each space will comprise an all-inclusive package so there are no extra hidden costs, with options from just 3 sqm to 8 sqm footprints to choose from.
