DPS Group reveals latest jobs boost after securing strong start to 2019
DPS Group has unveiled plans to increase its workforce by around 20% in the first quarter of this year.
DPS Group - providers of smart solutions to manufacturing industries, expect to recruit at least 17 new electrical specialists and project managers delivering a major boost to Glenrothes and the surrounding areas.
The announcement was made as DPS Group embark on a major campaign to engage Scotland’s distilleries who face tough new regulations set out by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) in their new “Sector Plans”.
It is expected that distilleries will require to be fully compliant with a range of new health, safety, environmental and quality criteria.
DPS Group have enjoyed strong growth in recent years, significantly increasing their workforce and investing in a programme for apprentices.
They are running ahead of the curve in terms of investment in digital infrastructure such as the introduction of paperless risk-based compliance testing as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) begins to make a significant impact on multiple manufacturing sectors.
DPS Group director Colin Burnett comments: “We are heading into 2019 in the best possible way by continuing to create skilled jobs in response to continuing to secure significant seven figure projects with some of the world’s best-known brands.”
IIoT is a rapidly developing market expected to have significant growth. According to global research company Gartner, innovations such as smart, connected products, and the industrial internet of things (IIoT) will be key to productivity improvement and new demand in the IT sector through 2022.
