Employment Law Academy | Performance Management
Employment Law Academy | Performance Management
- 08 Dec 2022 (09:15-12pm)
- Dundee
This workshop will look at effective performance management. It aims to provide attendees with the necessary regulatory knowledge to successfully manage poor performance whilst minimising the risk of Employment Tribunal Claims. It is a must for managers who are new to dealing with such investigations and a useful reminder for experienced managers.
Employers must be confident in proactively engaging with colleagues in situations of poor performance. Although the process can be distressing, disruptive, and time consuming, this masterclass will equip employers with the tools needed to facilitate improvement in performance or find a resolution to the situation. By acting at an early stage and in line with best practice, employers stand the best chance of avoiding grievances as well as claims of unfair dismissal and unlawful discrimination.
In this half day workshop, Employment Law specialist Debbie Fellows will look at the key issues of:
- Informal vs formal performance management
- Preventative measures – induction, probation
- How to appropriately investigate the situation
- Formal capability process – getting it right
Who should attend?
- HR professionals
- Business owners
- Managers and those with people management responsibilities.
