Exciting Food from Fife Event Hosted by Modern Standard Coffee

Membership Executive Yvonne Hannah had the pleasure of attending a special event at Modern Standard Coffee’s state of the art coffee roastery and newly launched tasting rooms in Glenrothes yesterday morning.

Yvonne said: “Modern Standard Coffee are Fife Chamber members, and a big Fife success story. This specialist event was well attended with representatives from the Scottish food industry and Further Education”

Run by Lynsey Harley, Modern Standard Coffee is one of the fastest growing speciality coffee roasteries in the UK and is known for its transparent supply chains and ethical production. In recognition of her experience in the speciality coffee industry, from barista to roastery founder, Lynsey was recently voted onto the leadership council of the Coffee Roasters Guild, part of the Speciality Coffee Association - a brilliant achievement!

During the event, attendees were able to chat over fresh coffee and pastries and hear from special guest speaker, Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, the Chair of Scotland Food & Drink and founder of pioneering free-from food producer, Genius.
