Fife Chamber of Commerce strengthens its Board of Directors as it targets ambitious growth
Business organisation Fife Chamber of Commerce has appointed three new Directors to its Board to support and advise the Chief Executive and his team as they pursue an ambitious growth strategy.
Gavin Brogan, Operations Director at Diageo’s bottling and processing plant at Leven, Greg Stapley, Senior Audit Manager at EQ Accountants, and Jacqueline Watson, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Henderson Loggie, were appointed at the Chamber’s most recent Board meeting. They will serve an initial three-year term of office and their appointment brings the number of Board members up to twelve.
Commenting on the appointments, Colin Brown, the President of Fife Chamber said: “One of my priorities when I became President in April was to strengthen the Board in areas where the Board felt we would benefit from new directors with specific skill sets. These are exciting times for Fife Chamber, and I am delighted that Gavin, Jacqueline and Greg are bringing their extensive experience and strengths to our Board as we look to increase our support for the Fife business community.”
Gavin Brogan said: “Diageo has a rich history in Fife, distilling and packaging a fabulous and exciting portfolio of drinks including whisky, our national dram. I lead the packaging operation at Diageo Leven from which we have served our customers in 180 countries worldwide since 1973. Diageo Leven is Diageo’s largest packaging plant in the world with a proud history of an engaged and talented workforce with a strong track record for service and performance. I am delighted to join the Board of Fife Chamber of Commerce, to play a part in supporting business that operate in Fife and to learn from them in order that we all have continued success for many years to come.”
Greg Stapley said: “I am delighted to be joining the Fife Chamber Board and look forward to shaping the support and resources the chamber provides to local businesses. EQ have always been staunch supporters of Fife Chamber and the benefits it offers to members, so I look forward to taking more of an active role in the strategic direction of the Chamber, meeting and talking to its members, and using my expertise to help the local business community through the challenges of the coming years.”
Jacqueline Watson said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of Fife Chamber of Commerce. Fife Chamber has been going from strength to strength over the last few years and are leading the way with some fantastic initiatives across Fife, including the business engagement programme for Developing the Young Workforce and the Fife Business Awards, which showcase and celebrate businesses across the Kingdom. I am looking forward to working with the Board to continue to support the vital work that the Chamber team does for businesses locally, nationally and internationally.“
