Fife Chamber welcomes demolition of Lundin Links Hotel
The Lundin Links Hotel, which was ravaged by fire last month, has finally been demolished, bringing huge relief to residents and businesses that had been badly affected by the subsequent closure of the A915.
Fife Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive, Alan Mitchell, said: “We are delighted that the demolition work has finally been undertaken. We know how badly it was affecting businesses in that part of Fife and we wrote to the First Minister and the Transport Minister, asking them to intervene to get the work approved. While this may seem like a small matter when there are so many profound challenges, like rising energy bills and raw material inflation, confronting businesses, it is more important than ever that nationally insignificant but locally significant problems that hurt business confidence and profitability are resolved speedily. We are delighted that this, very Fife-specific, problem has been overcome and local businesses can now get back to doing what they do best, finding solutions to their challenges and providing great service to their customers and their communities.”
