Fife College - BOARD OF GOVERNOR APPOINTMENTS

24th March 2022

A Board vacancy has become available for interested individuals to get involved in Fife College, influencing and shaping the college’s strategy, mission and values.

We are seeking new members who have a strong commitment to changing lives and an understanding of the value of college education and an interest in Fife more generally. We are particularly interested in applications from people with finance or audit, commercial business or legal skills, ideally with experience of the higher and further education environment.

It is an exciting time at Fife College with the impending development of a new campus in Dunfermline, while recent hard work by the staff has seen many of the College’s performance measurements improve significantly.

We are looking for Board members to get behind this progress and ensure it continues. We particularly welcome and encourage applications from groups currently under represented on Scotland’s public bodies such as women, disabled people, ethnic minorities and people aged under 50.

The role is voluntary and reasonable travel expenses are paid. The time commitment is normally around 15 days per year, although more time may be required in the first year while training and induction is undertaken.

Information packs and application forms are available from the College website: https://www.fife.ac.uk/about-us/board-of-management-and-governance/ or by contacting Marianne Philp (email: [email protected] / tel: 01383 845009).

The closing date for all applications is 12 noon on Tuesday 19 April 2022
